Locally Owned, Locally Grown

Aspire, a not for profit owned dispensary opening in Ithaca later this year, is putting the community at its forefront and solidifying local partnerships to fill its shelves with high-quality, locally-grown items.

“Keeping as much as we can within the Tompkins County region is a goal of ours and is really going to make us stand out,” says Ashley Burke, President of Aspire. “It is really important to us to give back to our community, not only by cycling a portion of the profits we generate into the Ithaca nonprofit, Challenge Workforce Solutions, but also by providing jobs and supporting businesses locally.”

One such partnership is with Florist Farms, Head & Heal, and Blotter, who will be providing Aspire with flower, pre-rolls, vapes, tinctures, and concentrates.

“I am incredibly honored to partner with Aspire and support their mission of creating opportunities for those facing barriers to employment. Our brand, Head & Heal, was started at the Ithaca Farmers Market, and now we get to supply full-spectrum THC-rich tinctures to our community at the new dispensary. Locals can also find our flower, pre-rolls, and vapes under our brand Florist Farms, and concentrates under our brand Blotter. I am excited to provide high-quality, locally grown cannabis products to Aspire’s store and contribute to their impactful work,” says Co-Founder and CEO Karli Miller-Hornick.

Ithaca Organics will be one of Aspire’s sources for flower, gummies, vapes, pre-rolls, rosin and hash.

Trever Sherman, owner of Ithaca Organics, states, “Ithaca Organics is thrilled to be impacting Challenge Workforce Solutions and working with Aspire. We have been farming 10 miles from downtown Ithaca since 1997 and have been Ithaca Farmers Market members for fifteen years and counting. Ithacans know our organic food and CBD from the farmers' market and our CSA. We're more than proud to support the community that has supported us by sharing our small batch, hand-trimmed, Tompkins County cannabis at Aspire.”

Hip Crop NY will be a partner for locally sourced flower.

"Ithaca is the place where Cannabis Culture is timelessly trendy. There is no better way for me to stay connected to the Ithaca I love then by growing high-quality marijuana that is healthy, clean and nutritious. I am fortunate to have Aspire as a local partner with shared enthusiasm for science, education, and social outreach. Together we can earn an excellent reputation for having the very best adult-use cannabis products in the state, right here at home!” says owner Mary Strassheim.

It truly takes a village to make a difference, and Aspire is grateful that their village is Ithaca, NY! The new dispensary will be announcing their location and grand opening date in the coming weeks, and are now accepting resumes for managers and budtenders (full and part-time positions).
